After checking and re-checking the tables I still cannot figure out how the LHA answer to problem #7 (pg 225) is 0 degrees. The LHA I calculated was 57 degrees.

I am having the same difficulty with problem #8 as well, but did not include my work for that one.

I have attached a photo of the worksheet. Please advise. Thanks.

For the UTC of 17:48:00 on 24 July 1978 the GHA of the Sun is 17h =73 23.5 plus 48m = 12 deg equals 85 23.5. The chosen a-Lon would be 85 23.5, thus the LHA is 0.
