This barometer has many virtues and useful features—far more, in fact, than most for the money. Its power management, however, is not one of its virtues.

It will reset when you shut it off no matter what: running on batteries, or without batteries and just power, or with both. It is an unfortunate behavior. It will also reset if on AC adapter alone and then you unplug it.

On the other hand, with an AC adapter there would be no reason to turn it off and your settings would remain in place... as well as the history. When it resets, it loses its history as well.

We have AC Adapters custom made for this barometer.
