url country codes List of country codes used in email and web addresses, ie if you get mail from an address ending in .ht, what country is that from? |

url country extensions Many international urls include a country extension such as .uk for UK or .ca for Canada, and so on. This link explains the list and provides the list of domains within each extension. It is a quick way to know what country might be the source of email or a webpage, although anyone can have almost any address from any location these days. |

All map index Massive map index to all types of maps with opportunity to purchase. Can't see them, but usually good indexes. Note they also have a nice presentation of NIMA worldwide maps. They call them NOAA, but this is probably an error. Indexes, though, are very well done.... plus things like worldwide railroad maps, etc. |

Arc-web viewer Get lat and lon for any US location graphically... street intersections, etc. just keep zooming in until you find what you want. digital lat/lon in bottom left corner as decimal degrees.
Lets you plot multiple addresses on the same map, very useful for finding one place relative to another. |

Etak — Geocoding Enter a US street address to get the Lat/Lon and other data. Works great. Also, you can get this data from their excellent Etak map server for places without an address. Etak is a division of Sony. They have an extensive map program online and in hand-held GPS units. They do not explain the term on the site, but "Etak" is an ancient Polynesian method of DR navigation based on keeping track of your position relative to a real or even imaginary island.

topomaps online Displays online all US topo maps which can then be printed. Topo maps are often useful for small craft sailing to have a look at the topo maps in the region you are planning to visit. Especially valuable to kayakers. Two other good sources are also listed. |
