For use with the Weems and Plath digital barometer. Fits into the +12V dc plug and on the other end you wire to your vessel's battery system. Lead is 3 feet long.

An external power supply (this DC source or an AC adapter saves battery use and more importantly, maintains accuracy of pressure read out, which would otherwise fall off as battery voltage weakens. Also note if battery fails, setup configuration is lost, including the calibration constant. Hence, no matter how you charge your barometer, once you set it to the proper pressure make a note of the calibration offset so you can replace it if needed.

AC Adapters and DC Connectors are also available. The connectors are the same as used here, so with these you could make your own lead. Note these are not a US standard 12V DC connector.

NOTE: you may find at Radio Shack or elsewhere an AC adapter that has the right plug on it, ie one that fits into 12v dc input to the barometer. Then you can just cut off the power supply for that and use the already soldered connector and wire. This is likely to cost less than the price we have to charge for the connector and custom soldering. Note the connector size is often used for 5v systems for charging cell phones or GPS units. In other words, the French manufacturer did not choose a standard connector for this 12v dc input.
