I have double and triple check my answers for question 1& 2. I continue to come up with the same incorect answer.
Question 1 correct answer 55* 19.0'N
My answer is 54* 79.0'N
HS 54*05.0'
IC -2.0'
Dip -2.9'
Ha 54*00.1'
Alt Cor +15.3'
Ho 54*15.4'
z 35*44.6'
Dec(hr) 19*34.4'
d val + 0.5
d corr + 0.0
Declin 19*34.4'
Z Dist +35*44.6'
Lat 54*79.0'N

What did I do wrong??? Same thing on question 2 close but wrong??

Hi James

You are so near to finishing the problem; you just forgot the last step

Since 79’ is greater then one degree you need to subtract 60 from the 79 and then add 1 degree to the 54 degrees

Your latitude of 54° 79.0’N = 55° 19’N
