book answer shows alt correction of +12.5' using Ha of 15 14.8
i show +12.8'
where am i in error?

Off hand, without actually looking it up, this size error seems to imply that you used the wrong "season" column for the sight correction. There are two columns summer and winter, and in the summer the sun is a bit farther from the earth (strange but true) so its apparent diameter is smaller a bit—about that much.

If that is not the solution to your question, please let us know.

Question: if the sun is farther from the earth in the NH summer, why is it warmer there then?
