A few months ago, I took a little bit of a scolding from one of the Nav Listers for buying a sextant before understanding the trigonometry behind celestial navigation.
Now that I've completed the course, I would like to understand where what I'm practicing comes from (if only my high school trig teacher would have told me I should pay attention in case I wanted to be a navigator someday...)
Can you point me to a source that won't drown me?
