Dave,
Was wondering. Would it be possible to convert the Mark 25 to a Mark 15??? Since I am assuming the basic frames are the same it would just be a matter of switching the mirrors.
Would I be able to buy the parts for this?? I am trying to figure out a way of salvaging this without sending the unit back.
I still believe the problem is me, but since I can't seem to figure out this beam converger, it might be easier to switch to the split image.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Yes, I believe you can change the mirrors. I will double check that on Monday.
You would, though, actually be improving the Mark 25, not so much converting it to a 15. That is, you have a light on yours which the 15 does not, and (for what it is worth) according to Davis the plastic is superior in the model 25. I must say that we do not have any direct evidence of that ourselves. I assume it is based on the tech specs of the plastic. As far as color is concerned, the gray is better than the black because of heat absorption.
Also "improving" in that the traditional mirror design has more advantages over the full view design than vice versa.
I will check on this to confirm it is doable, then you can order the parts directly from Davis i believe. If not, we can help with this.

May i ask that you please keep this discussion in the same topic by just adding replies and not making a new topic for each reply.
I will rename this one "Changing Mirrors on a Mark 25" Then you can decide later if further conversation belongs in this one or an earlier one on a related topic.
thanks

Yes, you can change these mirrors... from mark 25 to mark 15.
You can get a complete set of mark 15 mirrors (Horizon plus Index with springs and screws for $20 online at this link.

Seems a pretty good deal. Please keep us posted on how the transition goes.
