Hi, I am fairly certain I have seen star diagrams like those in the air almanac but with expanded views of constellations in circles as might be seen in a telescope or sextant sight.
Does anyone know where they are / which publication to search for I simply cannot find them anywhere on the net.
Many thanks in advance.

There are polar star maps like that in the Nautical Almanac... but just looking toward the poles. Do you mean something different from those?
You can get a free (expired) nautical almanac from our Bosun's Locker section of our site... see Accessories catalog.
