Will there be an online class for Inland & Coastal Navigation soon? I am taking the home study course, it would be nice to participate online for reinforcement. Thank you for your concern.
Sincerely, Don Doggett

Yes, there will be an Inland and Coastal online course, when that will be launched is still to be determined.

In the meantime, if you have questions about your homestudy course or other issues on general navigation, please post them here and we will attempt to answer them promptly.

To Starpath Instructor, I have begun working through the practice problems of the inland & coastal nav. homestudy course & I have noticed that some of the answers are given to the 1/100th of a nautical mile. Using the standard crude divider instrument I'm wondering how is that possible & also wondering after finishing the course, what is the margin of error allowed when answering test questions? Thanks for your time. Sincerely, David Castro

I apologize for the delay in answering this important question. We have added a feature to the presentation which I hope will prevent us from missing questions that occur as a reply to another question.
The subject of answer accuracy is disucssed on the website, but it was not easy to find. We had a link in cel nav course, but not inland and coastal. We have fixed that, so this is addressed in the tech support for both courses now.
For now you can see it there (which is a good plan as we do add notes there frequently) or go straight to your answer here:
Getting the Right Answers.

tech support on coastal nav course.
