There is a very nicely done presentation of the basic terms and concepts of coastal navigation at http://www.sailingisues.com. It is the fine work of experienced sailor Diederik Willemsen, presented at part of his program for training and yacht charters in Greece and Turkey, sanctioned by both the RYA and the ASA.
It serves as a nice introduction to our own course materials, which cover the details and provide actual practice problems along with consultation with an instructor.
