Author Topic: Three body Sextant piloting
michaelcam posted April 05, 2010 09:54 AM                   I have a question about 6.13 Three-body Sextant Piloting form the Inland and Coastal Navigation course. I don t see how you derive the lines from A and B and B and C to create each circle in Figure 6-27. I can derive a circle from three points but this doesn t give me the fix position. Also, in the figure 6-27 it says to construct angle CBR=90- angle BC. BC doesn't define an angle.?? How does on find the center of the two circles? I tried a Google search but couldn t find the answer. From: Columbia, MD
