This filter was part of a proprietary Acrobat Reader plugin that we used some years ago. We no longer use it, in part because of the problems like this we had in keeping up with Adobe upgrades, which were not always backward compatible with plugin usage on their earlier versions.
The easiest solution here is to use your Chart Trainer serial number to download the latest copy of the Chart Trainer, and install it. That will also install a new copy of the Chart Manual that no longer requires Adobe plugins.
