A common discovery when working sight reductions that you see in textbooks is that the a-values do not agree. This is usually because the DR is used for sight reduction in the calculator as a rule whereas in textbooks we use an assumed position.

To get comparable results enter the assumed position when asked for DR position. see also related earlier note at
