Join the online weather course to see how we used our precision barometers underway on the Alaska cruise to keep us just ahead of the weather forecasts.

Most books and articles still discuss the role of barometers as only valuable for relative pressures--rising or falling, fast or slow.

That is outdated advice. These days we can benifit much from knowing the true value of the absolute pressure, and, more to the point, we now have an effective way to get it.
