I live in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. This city is 6 meters below sea level. For backyard practise I use the horizon of the lake where I look upon, which is also 6 meters below sea level. How do I have to correct for that?

Hi Pieter,
Welcome to the course.
I presume you are using shoreline across the lake for the horizon. There are no special corrections needed for the lake elevation. The process would be the same at -60 meters or at + 2,000 meters elevation.
The only factor that matters is the distance to the shoreline relative to your height of eye above the lake level. The formula for computing dip short based on HE and distance to shoreline is in Chapter 11 of the course materials under Dip Short.
