Dr. Brunner has written an expanded and updated article on the procedure outlined in the Lunar distance topic. We have posted a copy in the Library Articles section and also posted a public copy here Lunar computations.

I am sure he would appreciate any comments that might arise. If you want to optimize your cel nav skills, there is no better way than taking and analyzing lunar sights.
