Do you have any more Sun sight reduction practice questions? I have finished what is in the book (many times over)and still don't feel that confident yet. I would like some more practice.

If you have worked all of them from lesson 5, then there are 18 more in lesson 6. They involve going on beyond the reductions to carry out a running fix, but you could just stop at the a-value and Zn part to see that you have those right.

These exercises in section 6.6 assume you know how to use the almanac, and concentrate on the use of Pub 249 for the sight reduction.

And after that we can offer hundreds more sun sight reduction problems but it will require the purchase of a 1981 Nautical Almanac, which we sell in ebook format.

Thanks, I will work the 18 more in lesson 6. I just got the 2007 Nautical Almanac so I think I will pass on getting the 1981 version.
