David I am studying your guide on the LTA and it is great. I now understand the Sun/Dec. form. Because I like everything in a column/row I used Excel and reworked your form. I found by adding the sight + reductions at the bottom and using the new LTA dec. I could solve for Latitude. Having it all on one page in a column. Do you think this is a good idea? It does away with the LAN form. OH, I have your plotting program on my TI-89 and wow is it great and fast. Thanks. JW.

Sounds like a good idea. If you care to post a copy when you are done we can pass it on to others.

We have a couple of forms that combine steps from other forms in our full set of forms, and at least one of these was the result of a user's suggestion.

The forms themselves are a free download, and we have a book that explains the forms and provides samples to them.

Thanks for your note on the StarPilot. Even after all these years, it remains the state of the art in computerized cel nav and piloting.
