Answer 18484
I have looked to no avail to find this.
In the Coast Pilot Neah Bay is 323, but 323 is not there. I must be looking in the wrong place.

Anything having to do with a chart number or a chart scale or a chart name would be in the appropriate chart catalog.

Also if you want to know what charts cover what regions, that is also in the chart catalog.

It is very valuable to have a chart catalog on board and to use it to mark the charts you actually have. It is a wonderful index and overview of the charting resources. The catalogs are free from any official chart dealer, and resources that cover the same data are online, as we discuss elsewhere in this discussion group.

The "323" reference in the Coast Pilot index is the page number in the Coast Pilot, which are shown in the top of the pages. (Our book page numbers in this section are on the bottom.)

Once that is known, you can actually go to the Coast Pilot on that page and it will tell you what chart covers Neah Bay, although often a chart catalog would get a quicker answer.

In other words, the way to find what chart covers what place is either the chart catalog or the Coast Pilot and either one could be best depending on the reason for asking.
