How do you delete locked waypoints?

Put the cursor on the waypoint and if there is a check mark next to Lock Way point, then click that line and that will unlock it. Once unlocked you can drop a waypoint from a route, which leaves the waypoint in place but bypasses it in the route, or you can select delete way point.

most echart commands get presented by a right click with cursor in place. with routes and waypoints we must be careful that we are on the waypoint and not on the route. If on the route you get properties of the route, not the waypoint.

also if the route itself is locked, you cannot delete or drop the waypoint until you unlock the route. So step one, unlock the route by right clicking it -- any place on any line segment, not on a waypoint -- and select unlock, then do the same for the waypoint.
