Spinning the wheels on this one, too. I keep getting 046°M as the return heading I plotted the attached diagram in the hope that my previous failure to get 053°M as the return leg was due to my poor plotting on my homebrew chart, but the hoped for 053°M has not materialized. I'm still close to 046°M, as the diagram attached shows. Can anybody see what I'm doing wrong?

Best to work this on the chart itself and use variation 15.0º W. Also always check for any errata at https://www.starpath.com/1210tr/

I have plotted ex 5-18 on the 1210TR chart and my answer is C-046° M, arrival time is 1148.
