Is anyone aware of a link to a summary of the USCG equipment safety requirements required by length of boat?

The official link is to a regulations page on the uscg site here

http://www.uscgboating.org/regulations/regulations.htm

You will see in the Federal Regs link a list of the issues covered, and then the links to the CFR's (codes of federal regulations) where the official wording is recorded.

Issue of running lights and sound appliance requirements are in the back of the Nav Rules book, in an appendix.

Pfds and visual distress signals are in the cfrs listed.

Please let us know if this does not meet your needs.
