The regular STAR ID program gives you the dec and SHA of a star based on the input of Hs and Zn you observed. Then you must go to a list of stars to identify the star.
On the other hand, if you use the SIGHT PLANNER option and put in the time and location of the sight, you get the full panorama of the Hc and Zn of what is available. This way you can find your unknown star by name.
Note you must have the star limits set right to see it.... i.e. if the unknown star is at 5° high, you have to lower the limit on the star predictions to below that. Normally this might be set to 15° or so.
