For official charts it would be the US for small scale and then UK for the details. See item 1 at www.starpath.com/getcharts for the US ones, looking at both ENC and RNC ... the latter is maybe better in this case. then for details they are from the UK... see item 22a for those.
Might check with David Skillings at BlueWater Books in Ft. Lauderdale about purchases.

the UK charts (GB) are S-63 (encrypted) so you have to get a plugin to authorize qtVlm. it is 15 euros for three computers running qtVlm https://www.meltemus.com/index.php/en/s63-permit
Note that for non-official charts there are several options, but these do not run in qtVlm. I think bluewater books sells all of those. since that store is closest to the Bahamas it is a good resource.
Note that for best prices on official charts see https://www.o-charts.org/?lng=en but these run only on OpenCPN, which is a good (free) program, but not as extensive as qtVlm. We also have a lot of videos on that OpenCPN. Note that these o-charts are not technically official, but in practice they are. We have several notes on these o-charts

PS... this topic ended up in public forum. I will move it to student forum to carry on as needed.
