If you get this message:
"16 bit Windows Subsystem C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. chose 'close' to terminate the application"
Then there is a defect in your windows XP installation. We have seen this several times. This could ultimately affect other software installations as well. It is not related to Starpath products.
The following Microsoft Knowledge Base article "Error message when you install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit Windows-based program" addresses the error message that you are receiving.

Please try the steps listed under Resolution.
Note also, that chances are this would also be corrected automatically if you update your windows xp to at least all updates before service pack 2. This can be done at www.windowsupdate.com.
