We have added a very detailed example of finding GMT from the lunar altitude method on our write up for the StarPilot. The solution shown is by calculator, but it will be obvious to you after you learn moon sights from the Home Study Course how to solve this with paper and books without a calculator. It will though, show how convenient the StarPilot's automatic plotting routine is.
