The plot on page A-13 in editions before Mar, 2004 have one LOP plotted slightly wrong. The a-value 5.1' A from 111° is too short, so the given fix by plotting is not right. Replace the given answer of 44° 39'N, 122° 13'W, with this correct answer which is: 44° 38.7'N, 122° 14.5'W.

It almost looks like the avalue was taken from the Lon scale, instead of the Lat scale, which would be blunder that could in other cases cause a much bigger error! Note that in this example, the UPS scales have all been cut in half.
