Figures 6-1 and 6-2 illustrate running fixes, without and then with current corrections.
The course or DR track taken after a rfix could be the same as it was, or it could be any new course. If there were no Figure 6-2, we could just assume that this person changed course after the fix.
The problem with our illustration is the DR track after the rfix of 6-1 is identical to the one of 6-2 where it was specifically chosen to counteract the current used in that example.
Therefore, the track in fig 6-1 is misleading and should be changed. The measurment shown in Fig 6-1 tells nothing of the current, so one could not magically then turn to the right heading after this... which is only a problem here since we have Figure 6-2 right behind it.
To best understand the point at hand in Figure 6-1, rotate the DR track after the rfix to be parallel to the course used to complete the rfix.
