Yes, there are many Starpath options for searching and this is one of the important features of the program. You can search all of our ebooks, you can search all of the content of a particular discussion forum, and you can search the full starpath website.

Within a Discussion forum, you may search for specific posts based on a word or words found in the posts, by a particular registered member, by date, and/or by forum. Just click on the "search" link at the top of most pages. This search engine is a powerful means of tracking down information on a specific topic either in a general discussion, online course, or tech support section.

Search tips in the discussion forums:

(1) It searches for words, not phrases. Looking for "star finder" will find any topic with "star" on it and any page with "finder" on it. At present we have no way to look for "star+finder" In the full starpath website search, on the other hand, you can search on phrases.

(2) Likely best to search individual forums, since "All forums" can take a long time. To bail out of a too-long search, just press the Search button again.

(3) The engine finds the topics containing the word or words asked for, but it does not high light them. Best bet is to find the list of topics that do contain the words you want, then go to that topic and press Ctrl + F, to search that page for the word you want. With that function you can look for phrases.

To search the full starpath website, which includes the course content for the courses you are registered in, use Search Starpath.

To search an ebook, open it and click the search icon. The elibra reader has very powerful search functions explained in the help file inside the reader.
