In the original Radar Trainer 2 and in the RT2a component of Radar Trainer 3, there is a function that simulates sea state in the Heads-up mode. This function effectively smears out the target trails by yawing your own heading about as would happen in a real seaway. The function has 3 settings: Calm, Moderate, and Heavy seas.
If you run that function for a long time, you will notice that your own vessel very slowly wanders off course. This happens because our randomizing of the seas was not working exactly right. We have fixed this now, so if you care to have an improved version of that option you can update the data file that makes it work.
Right click and save to disk this file Yaw.txt and then use that file to replace one with the same name that you will find in C:\Program Files\Starpath\Radar Trainer 3.
We also noticed that in some issues of the program the Moderate and Heavy sea states were reversed, giving larger heading swings for moderate seas. This has also been fixed with this new file.
Please note, this is not a crucial update. You can learn all that this feature is supposed to teach as it is without this update. This is just an improvment when doing very long runs.
