The Radar for Mariners book includes a demo version of the Radar Trainer that can be used to evaluate the program and to practice some of the maneuvers in the book.
We have just learned of a bug in the program that is of interest to those running the demo because it causes the program to shut down, which counts as 1 of the 5 possible runs allowed in demo version.
So therefore... DON'T DO THIS.
(1)Click the Set Vessels button that is used to define the targets on the screen.
(2)Then click Remove All Vessels.
(3)Then leave that Set Vessels window open, but leave it and go back to the Radar Screen and change from Heads-up mode to Course-up mode.
If you do that, you will get a program error and the program will close.
Note this is not something one would normally do, but if you do do it you will lose one of your demo runs....
In the real program this is not an issue as you just start again and nothing is lost. This is only an issue when running the free demo version.
we apologize for this and will fix this the next time we rebuild the program.
