saturation Said of the air when it holds the most water vapor in can at that temperature without condensation or supersaturation occurring. The actual amount of water vapor in saturated air depends on the temperature of the air. Warm air can hold up to some 4% by volume of water vapor. See dew point and relative humidity. Super saturation means the relative humidity is greater than 100% which usually means the air is super pure without adequate number of condensation nuclei. |
