sea state analysis This is a type of map available by radiofacsimile that shows the distribution of wind waves and swells. There are maps of current conditions and also forecasts. The ones available this way are listed in the set of fax schedules, RES-3. Examples of the maps are given in RES-1 in the surface analysis section. Information related to the interpretation of these is given in RES-2 on sea state. See also sea state.
