RTOFS Real Time Ocean Forecast System (RTOFS) is a numerical ocean model that predicts ocean surface currents and sea surface temperatures (SST). It provides forecasts out 8 days, every 12 hours. The model is computed daily. The resolution is (1/12)º, which is about 60/12 = 5 nmi between data points, which is rather high resolution for such forecasts. The RTOFS forecasts are global, but do not cover the Mediterranean sea. The data is readily available; essentially any navigation or weather program offers access to it in grib format.
