CM93

CM93 is a set of outdated unofficial global vector charts. We believe they are from about 2010, or perhaps older, even though some versions are labeled with newer dates. We do not know of any public source of these charts; they are distributed privately amongst yachtsman. We believe that some of these were not built on the WGS84 horizontal chart datum, and thus could be shifted slightly in Lat-Lon in irregular ways. They are not suitable for navigation, but could be useful for training or planning if available and done with care. They do not meet S-57 standards, although they appear similar to ENC in OpenCPN and qtVlm, two popular navigation programs who have made unique accommodation to display CM93. We do not use or cover these these charts in our courses.
