barometer

An instrument for measuring atmospheric pressure. An aneroid barometer has a partly exhausted, thin metal metal cell that expands and compresses to measure the outside pressure. A barograph is a recording barometer.

Electronic barometers rely on solid state effects to determine the pressure.

The key to successful barometer use is a careful barometer calibration so you know the exact pressure at any time. In WXT barometers are featured in G178, G101, G102, G108. Also see Art-5.
