BOC Race

The BOC Challenge. Single handed, round the world race of 27,000 miles in 4 Legs. Run every 4 years. New rules in 1994 eliminated outside assistance on weather routing, changed Leg 1, and added a waypoint to Leg 2 (at 53 S, 72 E, near Heard Island). Prize money of $100,000 for first in Class I and $50,000 in Class II.
