An out-dated set of sight reduction tables, called the Ageton Method, that is still reproduced in Bowditch, Vol. 2. as an emergency or back-up means of sight reduction. An improved version of these called the Bayless Tables were commercially published, but most navigators now choose the Davies Concise Tables for Sight Reduction for back-up. See Davies Tables.
