This notice appeared on the USCG Nav Info Center GPS page for about 2 weeks at the end of Nov and beginning of Dec, 1997. Note the interesting reason for the failure of GPS... What is that? You can (and should periodically) check the above link to learn about the latest status of GPS. You may have to follow a few links from that site to get to GPS data.

USERS ARE REQUESTED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER OF THEIR EQUIPMENT IF PROBLEMS ARE ENCOUNTERED.
