If having troubles installing any software program, here are the first things to try. Each of these must be confirmed before addressing any of the special issues that might arise for specific products.

(1) Reboot your computer and try again... this tends to solve most problems!

(2) If the setup splash screen does not appear immediately, then go to My Computer and double click the starpath icon in the CD drive to open the file....

if you do not see a unique starpath icon in the CD drive, then wait for at least 1 minute or so (dvd drives or read-write direves, or older CD drives make take a while to activate)

(3) Shut off anti-virus programs and firewall programs... these can either be deactivated by right clicking their icons in your system tray (bottom right of the task bar) or by opening the programs and select "rest" or shut off, etc... your protection will come right back on after you install the starpath product at your first reboot. If you need help with this step, check the tech support from the companies that provided the products or your computer. We will not know how to do this for your machine.
