cursor A crosshair or similar icon on the radar screen that can be positioned by track ball, pad, or keys. Range and bearing to the cursor position can be displayed as it is moved around the radar screen for quick navigation readouts. Other functions use the cursor position as well, such as zoom, offset, setting guard sectors, or positioning an electronic range and bearing line.
