| KML Keyhole markup language is a digital format for specifying various geographic properties. It is mainly associated with Google Earth, but other GIS capable programs read and display KML files, such as the nav app qtVlm. KML files can include images as well as standard graphic features such as lines, points, circles, etc. Several KML files can be combined and compressed to a format called KMZ, which is just a zipped file of several or one large KML file. See also shapefile. |
