plot Often used to describe a trail of radar target images left on the radar screen behind a moving target. This trail or trace maps out the past locations of that radar target. This is an extremely valuable option for evaluating risk of collision. See also Wake. Not to be confused with a plotter option, which more often means sharing the radar display with a e-chart view of past GPS positions, waypoints, etc.
