millibar

A unit of pressure equal to 1,000 dynes per square centimeter, or 1/1,000th of a bar. The millibar is used as a unit of measure of atmospheric pressure, a standard atmosphere being equal to 1,013.25 millibars or 29.92 inches of mercury. A millibar is the same as a hectopascal.
