tropical analysis Name of the surface weather maps (synoptic chart) produced by the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. They are illustrated and discussed in RES-1 on reading weather maps. They cover the regions of the tropics and subtropics. A small segment of one is shown in G402.
