| Victoria to Maui Race International yacht race sponsored by Royal Vancouver YC in British Columbia and Lahaina YC in Maui. Record held by Merlin of just under 10 days. Race typically starts with an 80-mile beat out of the Juan de Fuca Strait to the ocean. The total rhumbline distance is about 2,400 miles. The 1994 race was the 30th running of this bi-annual race run on even years starting first week of July. The record for vessels under 38 feet is 14d 7h. This race is run at the same time as the Pacific Cup Race out of San Francisco. Both are used as feeder races for the Kenwood Cup held in Honolulu on even years.
