WMO Sea-Ice Nomenclature Pub. No. WMO/OMM/BMO - No. 259. TP. 145. A publication of the World Meteorological Organization which is comprised of sea-ice terminology, ice reporting codes, and an illustrated glossary. This publication results from full-scale international cooperation in the standardization of ice terminology. The US counterpart to this publication is called the Ice Observation Handbook, a publication of the Joint Navy/NOAA Ice Center (see Source Book and ART-27 on ice at sea).
