quarter target A crossing target with a direction of relative motion of about 005 R to 085 R or 275 R to 355 R, seen anywhere on the radar screen. That is, if we imagine ourselves in front of one of these targets, it would be approaching somewhere on our port or starboard quarter. Compare to bow target, beam target, and head-on target.
