Gross tonnage Gross tonnage is the total internal volumetric measurement of the ship. It includes all the underdeck tonnage below the upper most continuous deck plus the volume of all enclosed spaces above the upper most continuous deck, dived by 100. Ref. Pg 15 Ch 2
